Little Gem has all the wonderful qualities you’d expect from a Southern magnolia, but it is the dwarf version. It’s maximum height is 20 feet as opposed to the 60 ft southern magnolia. Its narrow, columned form requires much less room than all other variations. Dark, glossy green leaves have a bronze-like underside, and its ornate flowers last longer than any of its cousins.
