The well-known Allegheny is a customer favorite. The skin of its medium-sized fruit remains green when ripe. If you remove some fruit from this productive variety, the remaining fruit will grow even larger. Very sweet. The Pawpaw (Asimina triloba) is a fruit-bearing, understory, bush-like tree native to North America and grows from northern Florida to southern Canada and as far as the Midwest. Older plants can tolerate sun. Put young plants in mostly shade. Water regularly or plant near a natural water source. Avoid letting the soil dry completely. Soil should be well-draining.
